What we check
- HV battery health and state-of-charge data pulled with Tesla Toolbox
- Alerts history: stored and past faults, not just what's on screen today
- Drive units: noise, vibration and leaks (front and rear)
- Suspension and control arms: bushings, ball joints, clunks
- Tires and alignment wear patterns
- Brakes: pads, rotors, calipers
- Body, paint and panel gaps, plus signs of prior repair
- Glass and roof: chips, cracks, seal condition
- HVAC and heat pump operation
- Charging port and charging behavior
- 12V / low-voltage battery
- MCU / touchscreen function
- Doors, windows and seals
- Underbody: impacts, pack shield, leaks
- Test drive
You get a written report sorting everything into OK, watch and needs attention. More detail on the standard PPI: Tesla Pre-Purchase Inspection.
Bought from Carvana? Use your 7-day window
Carvana offers a 7-day money-back window with a 400-mile limit. That's your chance to get the car inspected by someone who doesn't sell it. Book as early in the window as you can so you have time to decide, and keep the driving short.
The nearby Carvana pickup is at 3600 Monterey Rd, San Jose, about 15–20 minutes from our shop.
Check your Carvana agreement for exact terms. Return rules, mileage limits and conditions are set by Carvana and can change; we can't make return decisions for you or speak for Carvana.
